About Frontière AI
Frontière AI is an EU sovereign AI gateway created by FLEECE AI SASU. We route API calls to open-source models hosted on EU infrastructure — OVHcloud, Scaleway, and our own dedicated servers — so that businesses and developers can access the most powerful models without sending their data outside Europe.
Our mission
The European gateway to open AI models. Behind that gateway: a technical claim about data residency, jurisdiction, and the legal framework that applies when your prompts hit a server. Frontière AI exists because 'hosted in Europe' does not automatically mean 'sovereign'. A data center in Frankfurt means nothing if the company operating it is US-controlled and falls under the CLOUD Act.
Why sovereignty matters
For a European company using AI in production — processing customer data, internal documents, or proprietary knowledge — where that data goes and who can access it under foreign law is a compliance question, not an engineering one. The AI Act adds another layer: GPAI classification, model documentation, and systemic risk assessment all depend on knowing your provider's jurisdiction.
Frontière AI labels every model as sovereign or fast access before you send anything. Sovereign models run on infrastructure with no non-EU capital control. Fast access models are those we can only serve through US-controlled providers — useful for development, but flagged so you know exactly which jurisdiction handles your data.
What we stand for
Transparency on pricing
Every model price is displayed per 100k tokens, margin included. The pricing page is public and matches the API. We don't hide behind 'contact us' for pricing.
Sovereignty labeled per model
Not every model is sovereign — and we don't pretend otherwise. The label is based on who controls the company, not where the server is.
Zero prompt retention
Your prompts and replies are not stored, logged, or used for training. They exist for the duration of the API call and are discarded.
Developer-first
OpenAI-compatible API. Drop-in replacement: change base_url and api_key, everything else works. No vendor lock-in, no proprietary SDK.

Frontière AI is operated by FLEECE AI SASU, an EU-based company. The product was built by a small team focused on sovereign AI infrastructure. Our engineering principles are the same as the claims we make: transparent, verifiable, and honest about what we control versus what we don't.
